I think that i finally found my theme for class. Im going to do the Night life of Detroit becuz i really dont know what other theme is easy to do. There are many genres and avenues of the night life i could venture into for this brochure

I think that Williams from "Hate Radio" was confused. She was basically confused because when and where do we draw the line in our "uncivil or uncensored" speech. For the instance where she was in the cab. She wasnt sure at first whether she should speak up or not. There are many situations that i have been in and couldnt decide whether or not i should say whats really on my mind or keep it to myself...where do we draw the line?

In class we wrote papers of a form of art that represented Detroit or incorporated Detroit in any way. Some used movies and music. The movies seemed to only represent the negative features and characteristics. All major cities have bad n good but i think that the media shouldnt just focus on the negative. Especially dealing with Detroit. People think that this city is the worse ever.

I think that Detroit is filled with art. Not only do we have the DIA, we have our own dances, music, fashion, etc. All of those are art also. I think art overall is a way to express a feeling or thought. When one writes books or compositions they use their thoughts. When one creates a painting, sculpture or even clothes, they are expressing something

I think that graffitti can be a form of art. Most of the work is used to reflect a thought about the city or time period. Graffitti represents the artists views or feelings about something. The graffitti i'm speakin of is the ones used in murals. Some are very pretty. but the graffitti sprayed on the side of someone's house saying a gang's name is not art to me. There are numerous forms of art and I believe that is one of them

I have to pick a piece of art or movie that displays Detroit. I think i am goin to pick Four Brothers. I think this because it was filmed in detroit and based on Detroit...like the police force and drug dealers. I think that it represents sum aspects of Detorit but not totally.

I think citizenship is how one resides or is a native of that city, state, country. I think if you reside there, whether u were born there or not, u are still a citizen. A communtiy is a neighborhood or it could be like a group. For instance you have racial communities...communities of gays, gothic communities. I mean there are several communities. I think that it all ties in with the previous subject of homelessness and houselessness

i think that the project we did in class reflected how there can be several representations of cities. we saw the negative and positive of all the cities we were assigned. It made us think about how people may view Detroit. Peopl's views may be misconstrued. Some think its very negative and they haven't stepped foot here, but there are others who'll think its a great city because of the Superbowl image or the auto show. I think that there is a balance of negative and positive images or views of Detroit or of any major city.

i believe that perception of something can be misconstrued through presentation. A reason being that people tend to represent the best of something if they are in favor of it or they'll do the total opposite. When someone is trying to get you to percieve something the way that they see it, they'll usually represent it in a matter where it'll change your opinion or view.
